Donminica today, not sure if I'm going off today as I've still got a bit of a cold, it's full blown flu really, but I'm hard and not one to complain so I'll just call it a cold....LOL. I
felt well enough to have a walk off into the town of Roseau, which was luckily where we were docked...lol. As
we got on to the quayside, which is about fifty yards from Roseau's main street, we could hear the very very loud beat of that wonderful Caribbean music. On
further investigation, which involved walking a hundred yards down the main street, we found out where the fantastic music was coming from, it was a local radio's roadshow wagon that was there for a carnival that started that morning and that was due to continue for three day's..... It
turned out that there was an upstairs bar, with a completely open front, right along side the roadshow wagon, the only people in there were some young locals, so naturally we went in....lol... Al
l I can say is what an afternoon we danced and drank local beer ($2 a bottle ) for about the next three hours.... My
cold disappeared while we were in the bar...lol. It came back when we got back on the ship though... I can only put it down to the music and probably the Adrenaline pumping through my veins, I suppose the beer could have had something to do with it...LOL. So to conclude on today there's not much I can tell you about the island except that the beer is good (and cheap) the prople are beautiful and friendly and last but not least the music "rocks".....
